In this world, technology is evolving at a breakneck rate. The ideas of AI, ML, DS have become buzzwords and attractive career prospects to reach current market potential. However, we often see them used interchangeably when, in reality, the words are not interchangeable.

 

v Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) machines that can perform tasks that are similar to those performed by humans, ie AI refers to computers that simulate human intelligence artificially. Artificial intelligence (AI) systems help us in running, designing, and evaluating complex systemS that can perceive their environment and act to improve their chances of success is defined as an intelligent agent. Learning and problem-solving are two examples of intelligent machines that emulate human cognitive functions.

 

AI deals with:

 

*    Problem-solving and reasoning

*    Learning Planning Information Representation

*    Processing of Natural Language (NLP)

*    Perception 

*    Manipulation and Motion

*    Social Intelligence 

 

v Machine Learning

Machine learning is a fundamental component of artificial intelligence.

Machine learning is concerned with teaching machines to learn by training algorithms on vast amounts of data. It performs a task without the need for specific instructions by using algorithms and statistical models.

 

ML is of 3 types:

 

1)     Quasi supervised learning

2)     Learning without supervision

3)     Reinforcement Learning

 

 

 

Machine learning deals with:

 

*    Data collection

*    Data filtering

*    Data analysis

*    Algorithm training

*    Algorithm evaluation

*    Using algorithms to forecast the future



v Data Science

 

Data science is a general term that refers to the compilation, processing, interpretation, and analysis of large volumes of data for a variety of purposes. It combines all of the words mentioned above, as well as others, to sum up, or derive information from data (exploratory data analysis) and make predictions based on various datasets (predictive analytics).

 

There are six stages in which data science works:

 

1)     The discovery

2)     Preparation of data

3)     Creating a model

4)     Construction of a model

5)     Results distribution

6)     Putting it into effect

 

Data Science deals with

*    Generating information from data

*    Processing data  using algorithms

*    Using the result to make predictions

 

Relation Between them.

ML is the connecting link between DS and AI. That is because it's a deep learning process based on data. As a consequence, AI is a method that aids data science in obtaining results and solutions to specific problems. Machine learning, on the other hand, aids in achieving that goal.

 

Difference between them

 

Artificial intelligence comprises machine learning among other things. Artificial Intelligence (AI) uses iterative processing and intelligent algorithms to help computers learn efficiently by combining vast volumes of data. Logic and decision trees are used in artificial intelligence.

 

Machine learning is a sub-category of Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning employs effective algorithms that can use data without being directly instructed to do so. Statistical models are used in Machine Learning.

 

Data Science comprises a wide variety of data operations. Data Science is the method of collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to derive significance for research purposes. Data Science is concerned with both structured data.
