Huawei was founded by Ren Zhengfei, an old soldier; in Shenzen, China, at the year of 1988. Huawei initially worked on telecommunication network and techno consultancy services. After growing big with the help of Chinese government, Huawei went into global market; at the year of 2000. Huawei went into Sweden, US and Netherlands at first.
Continue to grow up in industries of telecommunication equipments and networking equipments; and become the largest telecommunication equipment supplier in the World at the year of 2012, surprassing Ericssonn. In the same year, Huawei declared the profit of 3.7 billion USD. The company is also active in more than 140 countries currently and serving for more than 120 telecom operators and more than 1000 companies at total in the countries that it serves for.
Huawei is not kind of so-called "private company", but it is rather a "collective company"; which means only Huawei workers could own the shares of Huawei and nobody else would do so.
Huawei each year invest 49% of their profits into research and development and this is a reason why Huawei has a bright future. Huawei has more than 150,000 employees Worldwide and this number is growing everyday. 46% of Huawei employees are working in research and development department and they have 20 Reserach and Developemet Centers worldwide, one in Istanbul, Turkey.

In Turkey, Huawei mostly serves for Vodafone, Avea, Superonline, Dslam, Turkcell, Turk Telekom and TTNet.

·         Board of Directors of Huawei CO. İs known for having great relationships with Chinese government and Prime Minister. So far, Huawei has received many direct and indirect financial aid from Chinese government.

·         Outside of China, the biggest market for Huawei has been United States and India, both are very competitive and technology – driven countries.

Currently, Huawei making big investments into smartphone area, their latest 2 models, U8850 Vision and Acsend P1 has drawn great attention. At the Q3 of 2013, Huawei became the 3rd biggest smartphone producer in World.

·          In 2012, United States Department of State banned some activities of Huawei in United States along with ZTE with the accuse of Huawei employers spying in place of Huawei. Huawei, of course refused those claims but there is stil some suspects about it.

·         Huawei also became one of the main sponsors and the main technology sponsor of 2012 London Olympics.
