Getting Healthy Foods
Let’s admit it : Eating is fun. You should
enjoy your meal. Once in a while I crave bacon and eggs for breakfast. I’ve
even been known to order a hot dog and French fries. But my weight is set to a
reasonably healthy level, and I know that indulging occasionally won’t have too
much impact on weight, as long as I quickly return to my usual healthy eating
patterns.
When your weight is under control and you
are working effectively with your body, you will be able to splurge now and
then. Right now, it is best to postpone indulgences. But take heart, once you
have lost some weight and kept it off for a reasonable period of time, you will
have a lot more guilt free opportunities to eat the foods you love.
The point is that healthy eating doesn’t
have to be dull. Far from it. When you learn to use fresh herbs, lemon and a
full complement of spices from around the world, your food will be richly
flavored and delicious as well as nutritious. Changes are you will never be
able to go back to fatty foods and heavy meat dishes again.
